Is College Worth it?
Here's what the numbers tell us...
Welcome back to another edition of Branding Daily where I go deep into the depths of brand building, creating content to grow your business, and online entrepreneurship.
Is college worth it?
Colleges welcome over 15 million students per year to campus.
Over 50% of them walk out with debt.
I walked away with 3 degrees and $130k in debt.
Here is a step-by-step summary of what I would tell my kids to do:
1. If you are going to go to college it needs to either be:
A trade school where you can learn a skill that will pay you well where you can stack cash and eventually launch your own thing.
A school that has a proven track record of returning ROI to graduates for proven fields (medical, business, tech).

2. Start a business during college to offset/pay off the debt that you are accumulating (and build wealth)
This can be a local effort or through digital entrepreneurship.
The goal here is to scale to $10k/mo knowing that this is the most amount of free time they will have in their lives.
No going out drinking, partying on the weekends, or wasting time playing video games.
Find a problem, make an offer, sell the solution, and scale to pay off the education and have a fast start post-graduation.
I would advise them to start on a short-form/long-form video platform like YT or Instagram.
The goal here is to start accumulating followers/subscribers that can be leveraged for business opportunities.
(If I would've done this one thing, I would've been lightyears ahead of my peers)
4. Find a partner who will support you and shares your vision for life
College is one of the best places to meet the person you will spend the rest of your life with.
They should share your vision for finances, religion, and travel.
This decision will impact your ability to have success for the rest of your life.
5. The last step is to understand the fact that you will not be accepted by most of your peers
By choosing to do all the above, most people will naturally not understand you and try to bring you back down to their level.
The ability to accept the path that few choose will determine long-term success and the ability to choose whatever you want later in life.
Bonus: The first 3 houses (including the house you live in during college) should be bought and sub-leased to roommates if possible.
These will serve as your first 3 rental properties (long-term or Airbnb) and will give you the ability to save BIG on taxes.
