Focus on the now

Only focus on what’s happening today, that’s all you can control.

Sleep

Try to rest before you get tired, everything feels worse when you’re exhausted.

Co-operate with the inevitable

Obstacles will always come, prepare yourself to handle them with grace.

Face your problems logically

Remember these 3 steps:

• What’s the worst that can happen

• Prepare to accept the worst

• Think of ways to improve on it

Count your blessings, not your trials

We’ve often got a lot more to be thankful than worry about.

Don’t worry about the past

What’s done is done. Learn from it and move on.

Keep busy

Activity keeps the mind off the anxiety.

Use the law of averages to outweigh your worries

Ask yourself how likely it is really that this thing is going to happen.

Remember that unjust criticism is often a disguised compliment

And remember that criticism and judgement often comes from below.

People who are crushing it in their lives don’t take time to criticize others.

Create happiness for others

Doing good for others will bring you the greatest joy of all.
