Donald Miller’s StoryBrand framework is a great reminder, especially for founders:

You’re not the hero. Your customer is.

Your role is to be the guide that helps them get what they want.

Use this frame:

  • The Hero: Your customer

  • The Problem: What’s in their way

  • The Guide: You

  • The Plan: Your offer

  • The Success: The transformation

Great content shows people what’s possible.

Before writing your next post, ask yourself:

“What story am I helping them step into?”

That’s where you start to gain momentum and traction in your content.

Highlight a Transformation

Speaking of transformations, think about a transformation you’ve helped your clients go through and create a post around it.

Prompt: Share a “before and after” moment from a client, project, or your own journey, and what changed in between.

It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, just share where they were at before working with you, what they struggled with, where they were at mentally, what their hopes and dreams were, and then share how your plan (or offer) helped them achieve those hopes and dreams.

And if there was a moment where everything “clicked” for them… even better, share that, too.

That’s the kind of content that makes people believe in you and what you have to offer.
