The "Flywheel" is Everything...

How to Use it to Your Advantage in Every Area of Your Life

Have you noticed your website's organic traffic dropping recently? Have you wondered how to show up in ChatGPT and other AI tools?

You’re not alone. Everyone’s talking about optimizing for AI, but few actually know how.

That’s why I’m highlighting my friend Alex’s company, Opascope. For years, they’ve been helping ambitious B2B and consumer companies grow faster through paid ads and SEO.

When AI search arrived, they got to work.

For the past year, they’ve been running rigorous tests and real experiments with their clients to figure out what really moves the needle for visibility in ChatGPT and similar tools.

Thursday, November 6th at 4pm EST, they’re hosting an exclusive webinar to share what they’ve learned. It’s capped at 20 attendees to make sure they can have a proper Q&A.

In this webinar, you’ll:

  • Learn how AI is shifting buyer behavior

  • Clearly understand GEO and how it’s different from SEO

  • Get expert predictions about where GEO is heading in 2026

  • Discover the tools worth investing in to win AI-driven search

  • Get clear guidance on how to adapt your strategy from SEO to GEO

Only 20 seats are available to keep the Q&A focused. To request your spot, just complete a short GEO Readiness Quiz below (takes less than 2 minutes):👇

The Flywheel Is Everything

Everyone wants growth.

Very few are willing to build a flywheel.

In business, a flywheel is a system that gains momentum over time, not from one big push, but from consistent force in the same direction.

Think of HubSpot:

They started publishing blog posts in 2006.

Those posts brought in traffic → which built their email list → which nurtured leads → which closed into customers → which funded even more content.

Now they generate millions of monthly visitors — not because they post more, but because their flywheel spins itself.

Now apply that to founder content (or content creation in general).

When you post once, not much happens.

When you post 3× a week for 6 months with clarity, conviction, and consistency?

Everything changes:

  • Sales calls are warmer.

  • Deals close faster.

  • Speaking invites show up.

  • Investors feel like they already know you.

That’s the power of a content flywheel.

Eventually, the system starts working harder than you do.

But here’s the key:

You have to keep publishing when it feels like nothing is happening.

That’s the part where most people quit… and where consistency becomes the advantage.

And here’s the kicker: flywheels don’t just apply to marketing.

They apply to everything:

  • Your health: Eat right once? Nothing. Do it for 90 days? Life-changing.

  • Your leadership: Say the right thing once? Forgettable. Repeat your values weekly? Culture-changing.

  • Your mindset: One journal entry? Meh. A habit of reflection? Direction-shifting.

The things that matter most in life don’t work like light switches.

They work like flywheels.

Push → build → repeat → momentum.

Post a Work-in-Progress

People don’t trust perfect. They trust real.

This week, experiment with sharing something you’re in the middle of, not the launch, the win, or the highlight… but the mess.

Maybe it’s:

  • A scribbled idea that hasn’t fully formed

  • A tool you’re building that’s still clunky

  • Or even something personal, like Clifton (Legacy Builder’s founder) building a house, where things are going right and wrong, often in the same day

The goal? Show the process.

Talk about what’s working, what’s frustrating, and what it’s teaching you.

Because here’s the truth:

The unfinished version of your work is often more powerful than the final product, not because it’s impressive, but because it’s human.

Process > polish

That’s what builds trust, relatability, and real connection.

If You Wouldn’t Say It in a Room Full of Peers, Don’t Post It.

Most people overthink content because they assume they need to sound smarter, bolder, funnier… different.

But the most magnetic personal brands don’t come from trying to be someone else.

They come from being consistently aligned with who you already are.

That means writing how you talk, sharing what you actually believe, and showing up consistently.

If you wouldn’t say something something around a group of friends, don’t post it online. Use words you would use in real life, not corporate lingo.

Because performance gets attention… but alignment builds trust.

And trust is what scales.

Why More Brands Are Betting on Newsletters

With algorithms shifting and paid reach getting more unpredictable (and expensive), smart brands are de-risking their growth by investing in owned audiences… especially with newsletters.

Unlike social platforms where your reach is rented and can vanish overnight, an email list is an asset you control. It’s algorithm-proof, direct, and personal.

That’s why we’re seeing a wave of companies, from SaaS startups to solo creators to private equity firms, shift resources into building their own media ecosystems:

  • SaaS founders are launching niche newsletters that double as content marketing and deal flow channels.

  • Creators are turning audiences into recurring revenue, without relying on brand partnerships.

  • Even VC and M&A firms are quietly launching content arms to build trust and inbound interest.

In 2025, your content strategy isn’t complete without a distribution moat. And that moat is built on email.

Because when attention is hard to earn, control matters more than ever.
