So we left off the last post where I had just taken 12 months to get to a point where I had a way to make money.

Now we get to the content engine…
4) Content Engine
When I was growing up, my dad was my hero.
I remember that he had a person for everything
Need a haircut?
Go see Michelle.
Need your HVAC worked on?
That was Steve.
Broke down on the side of the road at 3AM?
Call my buddy Nathan.
This was burned into the back of my mind when I started focusing on content.
What if I could be the person people thought about when they needed a ghostwriter?
So, that's the frame I used (and the frame I use for clients).
I started writing about:
Founder-led content
The importance of audience
How to build a personal brand
How I was approaching content
As my audience interacted new content ideas would come up.
But, my dad didn't just go see Michele because she could cut hair.
He went to see her every two weeks because she was a relatable person who could cut hair.
So on top of content that showed my authority, I added:
Stories from my childhood
Motivational content about life
How I was balancing business and family
This engine made me stand out over the other choices people had for content
