I’ve been asked many times, “How do you get so many leads for your business?”
Well, there’s a number of things someone can do to get more leads and grow their business…
One of the most underrated and underutilized strategies is cold email and cold outreach.
People who say it’s dead… are flat-out wrong.
If you want to scale your business, you should be doing cold outreach… but you also want to make sure your social media profiles are on point when someone visits them.
That’s the first thing somebody is going to do when they’re interested in your services.
So, for today, let’s get into 5 things you MUST DO to optimize your accounts for leads.
1. Consistent Branding
Consistency is key to building brand recognition. Use a similar (if not the exact same) profile picture, cover photo, and bio across all social media platforms.
Your branding elements should reflect your brand identity, including colors, fonts, logos, and visual style. Consistent branding helps users recognize your brand and builds trust over time.
2. Content Showcase/Pinned post
Always use the “featured” or “pinned post” sections on platforms.
Here are some great options to use:
Client testimonials
Client success stories
A post introducing you and your brand
And my personal favorite… a case study
3. Lead Magnets
Lead magnets are becoming a lost art. People aren’t putting enough effort and value into them.
When you offer a lead magnet to your audience, you should have a pit in your stomach because you feel you should be charging for it.
Create a free resource, ebook, guide, webinar, etc., and plug it under your content.
The goal here is to get them on your email list.
4. Clear Call-to-Action (CTA):
I see many people get this wrong. They have multiple CTAs and they’re inconsistent when asking someone to buy.
Your bio should have one CTA. Don’t try to confuse people.
Keep it simple and you will be rewarded for that.
5. Engaging Content
And this one should go without saying… but you should be continuously posting valuable content on your profiles. When someone visits, they should be able to scroll and see tons of content from you.
Use a mix of informative, entertaining, and visually appealing content formats, such as videos, infographics, polls, and user-generated content.
Building a brand is about more than copywriting, marketing, and posting content online consistently…
It’s about adopting the mindset, skills, and beliefs that it takes to build a brand and business online.
And that’s exactly what I plan to dive into every day with this newsletter.
