I’ll start off by saying one thing…

Building a personal brand is HARD.

Looking back at all of the time, money, and effort spent growing my following to over 400k across different platforms, it’s easily been one of the hardest things I’ve ever done.

I’ve even invested over $30,000 in coaching and mentorship to get to where I’m at today.

But, it’s easily been one of the best things I’ve ever done.

Because of my personal brand, I now have access to 7 and 8-figure entrepreneurs, CEOs, and founders.

I’ve been able to grow my business, Legacy Builder, to over 7 figures in revenue.

But none of it happened overnight…

On March 1st, 2023 I made the decision to quit my 9-5 job and go all in on personal branding and building my business.

Here is my story of how I went from climbing the corporate ladder in Level Plains, Alabama to running a $1M agency:

Let's set the scene…

August 2021 I am sitting on the couch in a rental house in Calera, AL.

On paper I was successful:

• Great career for a great cause

• Wife and two beautiful children

• Three college degrees and 5+ years experience

The background was a different story:

• Struggling to make credit card payments

• Feeling like I had no way to earn more money

• Scared that I wasn't going to reach my full potential

So I did what normal people do in this situation…

I started a Twitter profile.

This led to 8 months of:

• Spamming affiliate links

• Trying Amazon FBA and eBay reselling

• Doing everything I could to earn extra cash

Then it happened.

I realized that I was playing this game all wrong.

I was playing small and not thinking long-term.

So, I shifted:

• I started writing daily to educate + network

• I started to reach out to people ahead of me

• I started learning a skill that could help others

This changed everything.

I met mentors who would teach me how to launch an agency, sales, systems, delegation, and lessons on how to scale.

I made my first $1.

Then my first $10,000.

And before I knew it I was in rooms with incredible people, speaking at events, scaling my team, and joining awesome communities like Hampton Founders.

Building a brand has literally been the single best decision I’ve made for my business.

But looking back, there were TONS of mistakes I made and many things I would do differently if I could.

I wouldn’t have spent any money on coaching or courses… and I would have gone all in on joining a community.

And here’s why:

1. Everybody is unique. Buying a course that lacks a personal touch is only going to make your problems worse. You’ll be following a roadmap that worked for someone else but likely won’t work for you.

2. Coaching is very high-ticket. To work directly with someone online who’s had success with personal branding, you’re going to need to spend thousands per month for their time and expertise.

3. Community is the best of both worlds. You get a course curriculum to learn the basics of what it takes to build a personal brand. You’ll get the personal touch not only from me but from our other experts in the community. AND you get access to other members on live calls monthly and daily in the chat.
