Founders who trust their gut win more (Bezos told me so)

Before I get into this, I wanted to make you aware of this:

A couple weeks ago I told you about my content experiment with Ingage (our LinkedIn tool that drives traffic + deals) and it has produced 15+ booked calls & 500k impressions.

We are running a promo for a limited time where you can try it for $99/mo (you can boost up to 10 posts per month).

Plus, you still get the 3-day free trial. If you are interested in making LinkedIn 10x easier (and more profitable) claim the deal here.

Now, on to the main show.

Tiny (Content) Experiments

This week I trialed asking more questions.

Instead of just boring questions, I made them align with my target audience and put a spin on it (see below.

The result:

1.2k likes, 1.5k comments, a ton of people to follow-up with for my sales team.

(If you are interested in us building out your personal brand to drive opportunities we do it every day Legacy Builder):

Founder’s Lens

“Most decisions should probably be made with somewhere around 70% of the information you wish you had. If you wait for 90%, in most cases, you’re probably being slow.”

Jeff Bezos

I can attribute most of my success over the last 4 years to one thing: relentless execution with limited information.

Most founders think they fail because they didn’t know enough. The truth? They knew enough, but they waited too long.

Momentum dies in the pause. The deal you didn’t follow up on. The hire you didn’t make. The post you didn’t publish.

The best founders aren’t the smartest in the room — they’re the fastest to act. They trust themselves to figure it out while moving.

Reframe of the Week

Thought: Winning is about doing more than the competition.
Reframe: Winning is about caring more than the competition.

Markets are crowded with people working hard, moving fast, and chasing scale.

But most of them don’t actually care — not deeply. They don’t care about the customer’s outcome, the craft of the work, or the standard they set for themselves.

That’s the real edge: obsession. Caring at a level others won’t.

Because when you care more, you notice details others miss. You stay in the game longer. And you build something people feel, not just buy.

This is why the number one core value of Legacy Builder is Unreasonable Hospitality, because we care more about helping our clients win than we do being “right”.

Notes to my kids

My dad taught me many lessons, one of them being:

“If you have nothing, you still have the ability to treat people with dignity and respect.”

There will be moments where you feel like the world is against you and you are going to want to take it out on anyone that is standing in front of you.

Fight that feeling, because those are the moments that define your character.

Keep building,
Clifton
