How to Build a 6-figure Business in Less Than 12 Months

Roadmap for anyone who wants to build a business over the next 12 months.

You're going to want to focus on anything building these three skills:

  1. Sales

  2. Writing

  3. In-demand service

Now most people want to just go right into signing clients and “figuring it out.”

Do this instead:

Find someone who is where you want to be 1-5 years (or more) ahead of you.

Create a slide deck of how you can help them with their business (shoutout to Jay Yang for doing this with Noah Kagan)

Send them this through email or DM.

Follow up with them (professionally).

One of these people will give you a shot.

Now go in and absolutely crush it for them.

Go the extra mile.

Be a person who does what they say (and more).

This is what Eric Higgs did when he came to me last year and started working with Legacy Builder.

He started in Customer Support.

Then asked to take over our newsletter.

Then kept asking what else he could do.

Now he:

  • Has tripled his income with us

  • Has partnered with me to build another agency

  • That agency is on track to scale to $20k+ per month this year

Okay, so far I’ve given you two examples.

So that you won’t say “Yeah yeah this is impossible”

Now here are the next steps:

  1. Focus on skill development

  2. Find people ahead of you

  3. Reach out until you land a role

  4. Absolutely crush

  5. Use those skills to build your own thing

This is intrapreneurship.

And it is your path to building a business in the next 12 months.
