Before Setting Goals for 2026, Do This First
It’s planning season.
Everyone’s starting to talk about next year’s growth targets, new product launches, ad budgets, team hires.
But here’s something we’ve learned working with dozens of founders on brand, content, and visibility:
Strategy fails fast when your vision isn’t clear.
Before you set goals for 2026, ask yourself these 4 questions:
What am I most proud of in 2025? Why?
What went well and why?
What did I want to happen that didn’t?
And what would need to happen in 2026 for me to say, “That was the year everything clicked”?
Answering those questions forces clarity, not just about outcomes, but about positioning.
Because if you can’t clearly explain who you are, what you do, and why it matters… no amount of content, marketing, or growth tactics will land.
Before you scale visibility, you need to own your vision.
2026 should be about doing the right things, in the clearest way possible.
Start with clarity. Then scale.

Keep Sharing Your Message, Even If It Feels Repetitive
Here’s a truth most founders don’t want to hear:
You’ll get tired of your message long before your audience will.
You’ll feel like you’ve said it a hundred times.
You’ll be tempted to switch it up, say something “new,” or chase the next clever hook.
But to your audience?
It’s the first time they’re hearing it.
Or the third time, and it’s starting to click.
Or the fifth time, and it finally hits home enough for them to act.
Repetition isn’t redundant. It’s how trust is built.
This week’s experiment:
👉 Post the clearest version of what you do… again.
Explain the problem you solve, who you solve it for, and why it matters. Even if you’ve said it before.
Because the moment you’re bored of your message… is usually when it’s just starting to work.

Authority Doesn’t Come From What You Know… It Comes From What You Share
Most founders are sitting on years (even decades) of experience.
But here’s the thing: if no one sees it, or hears it, it doesn’t build anything.
You don’t earn authority online by being the smartest in the room.
You earn it by showing up consistently, sharing what you’ve learned, and letting people see how you think.
Your insights just have to be published for you to build real authority online.
One short post. One clear point of view. One quick story from your week.
That’s how trust starts.
That’s how you go from unknown → known → respected → referred.
If you want to be seen as an authority, the first step is simple:
Be brave enough for people to see you.

Newsletters Are Still One of the Smartest Long-Term Plays
In a world of shifting algorithms and short-form overload, the humble newsletter is holding strong.
According to a new report, roughly 22% of U.S. consumers now read at least one newsletter each week, and those readers tend to be more educated, engaged, and loyal than average social audiences.
As platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and X change how (and if) your posts are seen, newsletters give you something rare: control.
You own the list. You own the reach.
And when done right, you own the relationship.
In 2026, attention is going to cost more.
But connection? That’s built with consistency and ownership.
If you’re not building a direct line to your audience, now’s the time to start.
