10 Lessons from a 9-5 Dropout

For today, I want to share some of the greatest lessons I’ve learned after quitting my 9-5 job.

Lessons from a 9-5 dropout

1. You don’t have to build the next Uber, you just need an offer that solves problems for people who can afford to pay you.

2. Nobody is going to do the work for you, you’re gonna have to sacrifice at some point.

3. Build an audience + sell at the same time, you’ll make more money in the long run.

4. Find a community early of people who share your goals + vision. It will help on the days you want to quit (and there will be many of those days).

5. Your ability to make money is directly correlated with your ability to be around people with money.

6. Reinvest a large portion of your earnings early into education so you can grow faster.

7. Don’t be the person whose bio says “scaling to $10k/mo”. It shows that you are inexperienced and will in fact make it harder to scale to $10k/mo.

8. You should enjoy the work, if you don’t you are just building another prison.

9. No-code tools are your friends.

10. Remember this, money is a goal, not an endpoint.
